Design inspired by the endangered Mauritian Kestrel. For Mauritius, it is an emblematic bird, as it was the first endemic species that ecologists worked with on the island. Considered the most threatened bird of prey in the world, only four individuals including one female were alive in the 1970s. The use of DDT, a pesticide that was used for the control of mosquitoes and malaria which accumulates in insects, increased the risk of extinction. An accumulation of pesticides in the kestrels' food chain has changed the structure of their eggs and caused them to become thinner and more fragile. And when the female incubates the eggs, the result is that they break, hence the effect of reducing the population. With the intervention of environmentalists and the government, the current population is around 400-500 individuals. It is classified as endangered by IUCN.
